Walk-ins are welcome starting at 12:30 p.m. LOWLINC/ Genoa Healthcare Flu Vaccination Clinic Congratulations on your smart decision to get your flu shot this year! LOWLINC has teamed up with Genoa Healthcare to host a drive-through vaccination clinic at Lake of the Woods, Wednesday October 12, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the LOW Clubhouse Lower Level Parking Lot. This event is for Lake of the Woods residents. Genoa Healthcare will administer the shot free of charge. Vaccines will be administered by an immunization‐trained pharmacist(s) and assistant(s) will be present to review paperwork. Recipients are responsible for any costs that their insurance doesn't cover. Genoa Healthcare accepts most major pharmacy benefit plans and some medical plans along with Medicare Part B. You are urged to contact your health plan to learn if the flu vaccination will be covered through the Genoa Healthcare Pharmacy. Genoa will handle billing through eligible insurance plans. There is no cost on most insurance plans. Please check with your insurance plan as needed to be sure you have the full flu coverage of up to $65 for the senior vaccine (those over 65) and up to $36 for the adult or under 65. Uninsured individuals can be vaccinated at no charge. Please follow these steps to register: --Review the attached Vaccination Information Sheet from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for important details about the vaccine. --Read the attached reference about the different types of flu vaccine: Fluad is one specifically for older adults 65 years and older. --Click the blue register button, above right, to register. You must be a Lake of the Woods resident and 18 years of age or older for this clinic. Upon registering, you will receive an email confirming your registration. Details will follow later about what to do the day of the clinic. A Genoa Healthcare consumer information form and a flu administration and consent form will be attached to a reminder email you will receive a few days before the clinic for you to bring with you on the day of the clinic.
