Volunteer
LOWLINC depends on volunteers to provide support for members and help with administration. Volunteering is a satisfying activity and you’re bound to make new friends.
Serving as a LOWLINC volunteer fits your schedule and interests:
-- Volunteer as much or as little as you want
-- Specify the hours and days of the week (no weekends or evenings)
-- Choose which services you want to provide (e.g., transportation, call handler, light home maintenance, computer support, friendly visits or calls to members, errands)
-- You'll get at least 48 hours' notice of volunteer opportunities.
Drivers transport within LOW, right outside the gate, and no further than 25 miles. LOWLINC's Volunteers Committee provides orientation and ongoing support.
Volunteers undergo a background check and if they want to drive, a DMV check. They also attend a volunteer training and orientation session. These sessions cover privacy and confidentiality, communications tips and what you can expect as a volunteer. Attendance at a training session is necessary before you can volunteer.

Committees
LOWLINC's committees and programs work to serve our members, engage volunteers and carry out activities that support our organization. Both volunteers and members play active roles in each of the following committees and programs: Member Outreach, Volunteers, Communications, Social Activities and Preferred Service Providers, and Membership Intake and Fundraising,
